I've used Windows 7 with a touch screen since it came out.
The new Explorer Ribbon Interface Microsoft unveiled recently fails to address one of the main problems with using Explorer with a touch interface - selecting files.
The new ribbon has a select area which has buttons for "Select all" and "Select none" and "Invert selection".
These are extreme cases of select commands, but don't give me any granularity in selecting files. What I really want are two extra buttons "Select Range" and "Toggle Selection" which correspond to Shift-Click and Ctrl-Click.
At the monent I can't do this without a keyboard (on or off-screen) and the new ribbon doesn't help.
What a missed opportunity to make Explorer truly touch friendly.
